How it all started
The Don't Be Evil Company was founded in 2026 by Marco 'gorillamoe' Kellershoff who wanted to create a company that would make the world a better place.
The company was originally called Super Evil Mega Co (founded in 2018), then changed to mistweaverco (a reference to the mistweaver monk class in World of Warcraft), and lastly the name was changed to The Don't Be Evil Company to reflect the company's mission and values.
The founder of the company believes that technology can be used for good, and they are committed to creating products that are free, open-source, and driven by the community.
